'Sessions with Sue'

Get a chance to learn, ride and hang out with a mountain biking legend.

Sue Haywood is an east coast mountain bike icon.  Her mountain bike career was baptized in the mud bogs of Canaan Valley. A world cup and Olympic caliber racer traveling the world for many years, she is now a “recreational pro” racing everything from xc, 100 milers, enduros, downhill, and cyclocross.  Her passion is teaching mountain bike skills, especially to women, putting on training camps and skills clinics. 

Daily meet ups for women at the festival

Friday

6pm - 7pm: Tubeless set-up and tire choices and social hour at Industry Nine booth. We have plenty of wheels and tires to practice with. Share flat tire stories over Pinners.

Saturday

10-11am: Powerhour Pump vs. Jump Session. Practice sucking up bumps and catching air. Meet at the bike park airstream.

6pm-7pm: What's in your pack? Meeting at Industry Nine booth. Learn what to carry in your pack for mechanicals and injuries. Going over common problems that arise out riding. 

Sunday

10 - 11am: Lifts.  Front and rear wheel lifts. Meet at the bike park airstream.

2 - 3:30: Women’s skill ride on the trails. Hit some trails and session a couple of spots. Shuttle provided. Meet at the bike park airstream

Riding bikes in the mountains over technical terrain is one of the great joys of my life. I love teaching the physical and mental skills to others that lets them feel that joy as well. Come ride with me!
